Community-Based Groups
Community-based groups at The Shift create space to learn, connect, and grow outside of traditional therapy.
These gatherings use conversation, creativity, movement, and reflection to support wellness, build community, and spark meaningful shifts within.
“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.”

Shift Circles
Shift Circles are psychoeducation and movement-based focus groups centered around a specific mental health topic. Each circle prioritizes learning, reflection, and embodied awareness — combining discussion with intentional movement practices to support integration.
Rather than traditional therapy groups, Shift Circles are educational and experiential spaces designed to help participants better understand their internal patterns while gently exploring how those patterns live in the body.
Each session centers a topic of importance — such as anxiety, grief, depression, or trauma — and incorporates guided reflection and choice-based movement to support nervous system awareness.
Create & Cope Nights
Create & Cope Nights are experiential workshops designed to help you explore creative coping skills that support emotional regulation, confidence, and self-esteem. Each session uses hands-on activities to help you reconnect with yourself, express emotions in new ways, and practice investing in your own wants, interests, and hobbies.
These nights make space for you to slow down, create something meaningful, and discover how creativity can be a tool for grounding, healing, and building community. You don’t need to be an artist, just open to exploring what happens when you allow yourself to create without judgment.
The Shift Shelf
The Shift Shelf is a book club centered on stories and literature that reflect mental health, wellness, and self-care. We read books across self-help, psychoeducation, and nonfiction genres (including themes of identity, relationships, resilience, and personal growth) and connect their insights to our real-life experiences.
Each session offers space to reflect, share, and learn alongside others who value healing and self-understanding. It’s a soft, accessible community built through conversation, curiosity, and the power of story.
Seasonal Socials
Seasonal Socials are low-pressure, community-centered gatherings designed to bring people together in moments of joy, rest, and connection. These events change with the seasons and offer space to unwind, meet new people, and experience belonging outside of the more structured group settings.
They’re not therapy — just genuine opportunities to enjoy yourself, be in community, and step into social wellness in ways that feel comfortable, warm, and aligned with the values of The Shift.
